Bridal Party Timeline
The information provided below is only an approximation, and will depend on the bride and her specific party. For a personal consultation call us or come by anytime before the big day!
3-4 Months Before:
- As soon as you set a date, reserve the salon for your wedding day.
- Determine the details about what each member of your bridal party will want to have done, and complete our Bridal Party Information Sheet.
- If you think you might remove your veil at the reception, we recommend that you invest in a metal tooth comb for your veil (they are much easier to remove than plastic and will hold longer).
- We also recommend using artificial flowers if your hair style will require flowers. Real flowers are easily damaged by hairspray, heat, and weather.
- If you are thinking of changing your hair style or color, now is the time to try. With 2-3 months before the big day, we will have time to adjust and redesign if necessary.
- Schedule you consultation for your up-do and/or makeup for 3-4 weeks before your big day.
3-4 Weeks Before:
- Long hair should be trimmed.
- Come to your consultation with photos of your likes and dislikes along with your veil and any other hair accessories. We also recommend bringing photos of your dress and jewelry if possible.
2 Weeks Before:
- If you perm or color your hair, now is the time to have it re-done.
- Short to medium length hair should be cut/trimmed.
The Week Of:
- Bang trim (if needed).
- Any facial or body waxing, manicure/pedicure, massage, or body treatments (including spray tanning) should be done in the week of your wedding day. This creates less stress on the big day, but still ensures that all services remain fresh for your day.
The Day Of:
- Up-do and makeup application. (Come with your hair clean and dry, and be sure to wear a button up shirt.)
- Don't forget your veil and any other hair accessories!
- Once your Up-do is complete, be careful not to sit on your veil, and be sure to lift it up to hug your guests (so not to pull your hair down).
